Welcome to our out of school club page, we run three different types of sessions.
About Tiger Club
Tiger Club opened in October 2007 and provides out of school hours care for up to 16 children at the present time. We offer a drop of and collect from Ravensthorpe Primary School, although we are happy to provide care for children attending other schools provided arrangements are made to bring the child to Tiger Club as we do not currently offer a collection service from other schools. We are open from 7.45am until school starts when we take the children to their playground area or to their classrooms depending on which class they are in. Our staff remain there until the school bell sounds and the teachers signal the children to go into their classrooms.
We are open from 3pm for after school club and we collect the children from designated areas in the school when the bell sounds. We then make our way through to Tiger Club and we are open until 6pm each evening.
Tiger Club aims to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment for the children in our care. We endeavour to create an atmosphere to help stimulate the children’s interests while helping them to prepare for or relax after their school day.
Tiger Club is staffed by a main body of three staff. All staff are qualified in childcare/playwork and also have a clear Criminal Records Bureau search. All staff who work within the club have been through full induction and training in our policies and procedures and staff are also trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage to support those children who are in the reception year at school. Staff are expected to take part in professional development to increase their skills in working with primary aged children. We maintain a ratio of 1 adult to 8 children.
We employ consistent staff for the room and as the club is run in the same building as the main Ravensthorpe nursery we also have a number of additional staff who can cover in cases of illness of main staff or holidays to ensure continuity of care and reliability.
